Great cafe with a very good selection of delicious cakes and pies and a huge selection of very delicious cookies during the Christmas season

Were here with friends ... everything is very old-fashioned, unfortunately we don't like it that much ... but it's probably a matter of taste

I can't say anything about the hotel, but we were absolutely thrilled with the cakes, cookies and other confectionery products! Not just cream or buttercream, but individually refined depending on the taste!

Bad is still too good ... Hotel and equipment are outdated, shabby and neglected. Smaller repairs could be carried out without great financial or time expenditure. Apparently there is no interest in making the guest's stay as pleasant as possible. The staff tried their best, but "too accommodating behavior" is forbidden in the presence of the guest. Those who like to sleep with the window open are also not advised due to the location on the busy street. Their noises even penetrate the few rooms at the back. Breakfast is tight, small extra requests will be charged separately without exception. Anyone who hopes for fresh bread will be disappointed with tasteless ready-made baked goods. The quality of the food seems questionable anyway - how else can you explain a moldy cocktail tomato juice ... Our list of defects: - The lamp hangs from the wall - Silicone joints loosen - The shower door does not close - Shower rail very wobbly - Curtains gray instead of white - electrical lines are not laid properly - dead flies and debris - unkempt, soiled carpeting Who cleans properly MUST discover the defects. The question remains why they haven't been fixed long ago ...

A friendly, slightly nostalgic café in the center of Bamberg. Very good pastries and excellent coffee.

Very unfriendly service. We were charged a superior room even though we hadn't booked it. In addition, the owner yelled at us - very clearly: Not to be recommended.

The selection of cakes and tarts is large and there is something for everyone. Breakfast was average. Baked goods. Service was friendly and attentive. From our group the cleanliness of the ladies' room was criticized. This shortly after the café opened.

Located in the middle of Bamberg from there you can find your way to tourist attractions such as Dom Church which is very beautiful, Lovers Bridge, castle and Nazar with many shops.

Disappointed! Shocked! Speechless about the lack of respect! Unfortunately, we ordered our wedding cake here. During the pre-selection of the cake there was no information and requests were not taken into account. In response to telephone inquiries, Ms. Graupner was always referred to, who did not reply. After the cake was damaged on the day of the wedding and appeared without the promised and paid decoration, Ms. Graupner rejected everything in a very disrespectful and unfriendly manner and insisted on payment. Ultimately, our nerves and our time became too precious to continue wasting them in endless email discussions. Clarifying discussions were consistently refused, so we only had resignation and the hope of being able to warn other couples about this path. Hence our advice, if you want a cake that is delivered reliably and as discussed, look for another pastry chef, because what we experienced was simply outrageous! Café Graupner doesn't actually deserve a star for treating customers like this, but unfortunately this is not possible to give.

We ordered a wedding cake, which unfortunately was delivered to the wrong hotel on the "big day". That is why the company sat hungry in front of empty plates that afternoon. In response to such criticism, the only brief reference made, without apology, was that they had delivered by 5 p.m. on the desired day. All very annoying. The cake tasted okay, but not outstanding.

The cake might be good, but I would keep my hands off the panini with salad and lemonade. Sugar-sweet syrup and toast without sauce - get expired ketchup on request. Staff is very friendly but unfortunately the quality is not. The restaurant next door is worlds better :)

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this cafe. The breakfast was okay, the rolls were obviously frozen Aufbackbrötchen. In addition, the café is right on the street, we sat outside. It's really loud, not to mention the exhaust fumes. In addition, you can only pay in cash. For me, an absolute no go in a tourist city like Bamberg. But that's just my subjective opinion. Two stars for the good and nice service.

We had our wedding ice cream cake made by Graupner. Not that it was just delicious, but also a true work of art. From the consultation, tasting to delivery, everything went perfectly. Thank you very much again for that.

Rooms very hot. Internal garden dedicated to smokers with smoke arriving in the rooms in upper floors (the internal garden has a ceiling in plastic with no air exchange). Breakfast available only starting from 9:30AM. Rooms upgraded (from one triple room to one double and one single) without notifying additional costs.

Great café with a large selection of cakes and ice cream. There is free space as well as indoor spaces. The staff very friendly but not pushy. We felt very comfortable and make a clear recommendation :)

Please don't book this hotel! I have been traveling in Germany for a while and this as been the worst hotel so far! Bad rooms with absolute no fans or circulation of air, I did get a room with windows to the "main" road, thank God I'm used to sleeping with earpods! Both rooms and bathroom needs renovating!! It's decent priced, but I will recommend ppl to book somewhere else! Peace from norwegian backpacker :D

Stay was ok until the owner decided that my 2 small children and I had to change rooms to accommodate new incoming guests. I thought he was giving me a choice so I said no.(I had reservations after all) I went out sightseeing and when I returned my bags were packed (missing my prescription glasses) and I said that I would not stay at his hotel because of his demands. He said he was charging me for that night that I would not staying (remember I had in good faith made reservations) and would not give me my baggage until I signed the credit card slip. Yes, he really did that!! I feel as though he took advantage of a woman with 2 small children. I believe his employees felt bad for me but could not do anything without retribution from this tyrant. I do not recommend staying in this establishment that is so precariously run.

Good apfelstrudel. I asked for extra whipped cream but got really nice hot vanilla cream made from scratch.

The cafe area of the hotel is a nice one, with classic decoration. It is also a patisserie, with very good variety of sweets and cakes.The coffee is good. Casual place, crowded enough, polular for travellers, dogs friendly. Outdoor space is available.

Good food and drinks, in particular I ate a piece of cake and drunk a cup of capuccino, all good and tasty

Excellent pastry shop followed by a café! Probably the best cakes, pies and pastries in the region! Everything is homemade here and you can taste and see it too. The quality is superb, as is the taste and craftsmanship. If you are in the area and enjoy confectionery, you should definitely stop by and either take something with you or eat in the café on site. The café is cozy and decorated in a traditional coffee house style. With hot drinks you get a delicious homemade biscuit and the service is friendly and competent. Reservations are recommended at the weekend if you come with more than two people and want a specific time.
